Race Location

New 6K Course, Venue and Added 10K Distance!
Starting at the historic campus of Santa Clara University/Mission Santa Clara, the course features a festive loop through Avaya Statdium, home to the San Jose Earthquakes! The event then returns to Santa Clara University where participants can enjoy a post race festival on Santa Clara’s Franklin Mall. The course has 6K and 10K distances and a Kids Fun Run with dash distances (ages 2 – 7).  Map HERE

Pre-Race Day Bib Pick Up – Sports Basement Sunnyvale

Join us at Sports Basement Sunnyvale to pick up your bib and shirt, shop and receive great deals and discount from Sports Basement!  Pick Up is on Friday, March 24, 2017 from 11 am to 7 pm at Sports Basement Sunnyvale – 1177 Kern Avenue, Sunnyvale, CA 94085.

Race Day Pick Up and Registration

There will be a place for participants to register and pick up their shirts and bibs on race morning as well. This will take place on Franklin Street in pop up tents that opens at 6:30 am.


Race Day Timeline – Saturday, March 25, 2017

  • 5:30 AM – Volunteer check in opens
  • 6:00 AM – Volunteers arrive
  • 6:30 AM – On-Site Registration, Bib Pick-up opens
  • 7:00 AM – Course closures begin
  • 7:30 AM – Stage activities start
  • 8:00 AM – Race starts
  • 8:45 AM – Activities on main stage
  • 9:00 AM – Last participant through Avaya Stadium
  • 9:30 AM – Awards Distributed from Main Stage
  • 9:30 AM – Kids Fun Run
  • 10:00 AM – Last participant through finish line
  • 10:30 AM – Event over (all roads re-opened)

Parking Information

Parking will be conveniently located on the campus of Santa Clara University at three designated parking areas.  Remember that road closures around the venue start at 7:00 am.

1. North Campus Lot at Benton Street and Alviso Street.  There is also access to this lot from the Alameda.

2. Central Parking Structure accessed from Palm Drive.

3. Homestead/Benton Lot accessed from Homestead Road, between Lafayette and Jackson Streets or from Benton Street.


Sweat Check, Bike Check & Info Booth

We will have a sweat check and bike check so that runners have a place to store their belongings and/or bike while they are running the race.  Please be sure to only bring clear, small, stadium sized satchels for your belongings. Open from 6:30 am to 10:30 am.

We will have an information booth to provide directions and information to participants. It will also be used as a Lost and Found booth for the event. The information booth will be located on Franklin Street near bib pickup.


Walk/Run Course

There are two course options (6K or 10K) for participants to choose between. The start and finish line will take place on Franklin Street alongside Santa Clara University. Participants will run from campus along city streets and return to finish on Franklin Street. The 10K course will also loop the campus.


Kids Fun Run Courses

There will be 3 different dash distances for the Kids Fun Run by age that are an out and back at the Start/Finish Line Arch at 9:30 am.

*Ages 2-3 – 80 yards
*Ages 4-5 – 200 yards
*Ages 6-7 – 400 yards

Hydration Stations

There will be 1 water aid station halfway through the 6K course (inside Avaya Stadium) and a 2nd water aid station for the 10K course which will be located along Lafayette Street behind campus. Each water aid station consists of 4 tables, 10 x 10 pop up tent, garbage bin, recycling bin and cups of water.

At the end of the race, all runners will get bottled water and snacks. We will be setting up canopies for food and beverage distribution at the finish line.


Festival Area

On Franklin Street, we will host our Festival Area that will include: refreshments, vendor booths, activities and a medical tent. This is where the the start/finish line and the Awards Ceremony stages will be.
